Custom High School Graduation Announcements

Although we are known for our photography, we are slowly becoming known for what we DO with our photography. Take a look at these custom, one-of-a-kind high school graduation announcements. We created these pieces for several of our graduating seniors this past year. We take the great images from their session, combine it with a style that suits them and print a graduation announcement. They are available in 5x7 standard greeting card sizes, and we offer a flat version and a folded version. The folded version usually has a full sized 5x7 portrait on the back, so instead of sending a wallet in your announcement, why not send an actual photo your relatives and friends can frame. If you are a graduating senior in 2010, you probably already have this done, but for the class of 2011, avoid the high priced "vanilla" option that you are offered at school and let Ivey Photography create a graduation announcement to remember.

Jesuit Prep School Senior Portraits: Alonzo

Alonzo is a Senior at Jesuit Pre School in Dallas.  He is a superstar corner back on the football team and will be attending college on a football scholarship.  He came in for a mini session with us for his Senior Portraits.  We worked quickly and got some great studio and outdoor light portraits.  Notice the cap and gown photo below, and how nice it is.  Alonzo's mom commented that the main reason she found us online was because we still offer a very nice cap and gown photo.  Its a relaxed atmosphere, and for that reason, our cap and gown photos always seem to come out better than the ones students take at schools.

Bishop Dunne High School Senior Portraits: Raven

Raven came in for a mini session recently and we LOOOOVE her photos. She is a Senior at Bishop Dunne High School in Dallas. She has a great smile, and the camera loved her. Our processing lab loved her so much, they chose one of her images to display to other photographers at the largest Photography education seminar in the country!! We are VERY proud, and Raven's mom was overjoyed when we asked her to sign the model release!! Here are some of the great images from Raven's 20 minute session.

Red Oak High School Senior: Ryan

Ryan came in from Red Oak recently for his Senior portraits. He's a videographer, so we had a lot in common and talked "shop" most of the time. We're going to have him video some of our 2011 Modeling Sessions this summer, that is, if he isn't some high powered TV Exec by then. Here are a few of our favorites from his studio and location session.

Teague High School Senior Portraits: Megan

Megan is a Senior at Teague High School. She made the long drive up recently and we had a great shoot. Her photos are some of my favorites of the season. We are currently looking for models for the Class of 2011. If you are a Junior, and will be a senior, or you know someone who will be, please have them visit this link.

Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Charity Event

We recently setup on location at the Ryan Manor in Dallas to photograph the guests at the HOBY Texas North annual fundraiser. Each couple took a quick portrait and the proceeds were donated to the charity. We printed on site and framed 8x10 prints for each guest to take away with them. We are very happy with the results of the event, and the charity raised a lot of money. Here are a couple of the portraits from the evening.

If you are hosting a charity event and would like us to set up and help you raise additional funds, please contact us.

Midlothian High School Softball Senior Night

The MHS Varsity Softball Seniors played their last home game of their high school careers last week vs Ennis. We were there to catch the emotional gift presentations and the great game action. Here are a few favorites. If you would like to order prints form this event, please visit www.iveystudio.com and click on ORDER.

Karalynn Turns One - Happy Birthday Portraits

Happy first birthday to Karalynn. To celebrate her big day, her mom brought her to the studio for cake. Before she made a mess with her cake, Shana photographed her in our outdoor studio. Then she came in for the big celebration. Just look how happy she is to get her hands on the icing. If you like these, you should see the 15 others that go with them! HILARIOUS !

Karalynn is now our latest member of the Watch Me Grow Annual Plan. She'll get discounts on her sessions, special pricing, and free prints at all of our seasonal mini-sessions. If you have a child between the ages of zero and ten, come in and let us tell you about our Watch Me Grow Program. Its a great way to save money on our portraits, and get the same high quality products you deserve.

Waxahachie High School Senior Portraits: Hannah

Hannah is a volleyball star at Waxahachie High School. She drives a killer truck and listens to cool Texas bands. We had a good time working together on her Senior portraits. Here are a few of my favorites. We still have a few spots open for last minute seniors. If you need wallets for grad announcements, you need to have your portraits completed by May 15th to avoid any rush fees.

German Shorthaired Pointer Dog Portraits: Cabela

We've "unleashed" a new website at Ivey Photography, one designed exclusively for our dog loving clients. Meet Cabela, a Champion German Shorthaired Pointer from Red Oak. Her mom, Jennie, brought her in this weekend for a session and we got some fantastic portraits of this very special dog. Cabela plays flyball, is a champion field dog, and has dozens of confirmation titles to her credit. Jennie and Cabela were invited to a very exclusive show and needed new portraits for Cabela's catalog advertisement at the show. Thanks for coming in. Here are a few of my favorites from the session. If you want to see more dogs, please visit www.iveystudio.com/#/unleashed/ to learn about our portraits and pricing.

Policy Changes, Pricing, Minimum Orders: Effective May 1st

Effective May 1st, we will have some changes to our pricing policies.  Until then, our $25 reservation fee and minimum order policies are in effect.  On May 1st, our pricing structure will change.

Pricing
For our standard family, children's, maternity and engagement sessions, we no longer have "packages".  We experimented with packages, or Collections for about a year, and decided that we are not a "print and package" studio.  We create custom products for your home.  Sometimes you can call it a "package", but most of the time, its just what you want.  We do offer bonus incentives and discounts for larger orders, but you can expect custom creations and products designed for YOU, not Packages designed to sell you "stuff you don't need".  We've also lowered some prices on Wall Portraits and Custom Albums.  As always, print prices start at about $50.

Session Fees
Family, Engagement, or Maternity Photography:  Our new Session Fee is $75 for weekday appointments and $100 for weekend appointments.  There is no minimum order and we'll work with you to design products that are best for your home.  Print prices begin at around $50, with sizes available up to 70x100 inches.

Children and Baby Photography:  Our Session Fee is $75 on the weekdays and $100 on the weekends.  There are no minimum orders, so buy what you like.  We do have minimum order requirements for our seasonal and discount programs.  Please ask for details on those special sessions.

Senior Photography:  Effective for the Class of 2011 Sessions, we will offer three session types.  The Mini, The Half, and The Full Session.  Our mini sessions require an $195 minimum order.  Our Half Session requires a $300 minimum order, and our Full Sessions require a $500 minimum order.  What you ultimately spend depends on the length of your session, the number of outfits, and the products you choose.  Call us for a complete consultation and we can give you a complete price guide.  The minimum orders for Seniors are not designed to tell you how much to spend, rather to direct you into a session that is appropriate for you and your budget.  You can spend ANY amount, no matter the length of the session, but you must spend more for the longer more elaborate sessions.

Consultation
For each session, we will now ask that you give us a few minutes of your time PRIOR to the session so that we may consult with you in detail about your session, the products you may want, and the spaces we may fill with your images.  We can conduct the consultation in your home, here in the studio, or by phone.  It just takes a minute of your time, but goes a LONG way toward helping us deliver our very best work to you.

We never enjoy discussing business on our site, but we feel it is important to announce these changes.  Our new pricing structure allows us to be more of a custom art studio, rather than a "print and package" studio.  We design custom products for your home using priceless images we create.  Sometimes that costs a little.  Other times that costs more.  Our minimum order policy was hampering us and causing confusion for some clients.  With every rule, there is the exception.  Our Senior Sessions, Watch Me Grow Sessions, and Seasonal Mini Sessions will still carry appropriate minimum order requirements.

We appreciate all of the business and look forward to capturing memories for you very soon.
