Hank and Lola - Super Dogs - Dog Portraits

Hank and Lola came in our of the snow last week to have their portraits made. Their mommy brought them down from Dallas and we spent the cold day playing in the studio. Hank and Lola are mixed breed dogs, but the Rhodesian Ridgeback traits are strong in them. They were very calm, very relaxed, and easy to work with. The only time they got excited was for the last photo, when mom said "Let's Go!". We offer special rates for dog photography. It costs less than you think, so give us a call and let's make man's best friend into man's best photo.

March 6th Enchanted Garden Sessions

Our March 6th Enchanted Garden Sessions will be held at Spoiled Rotten Children's Boutique in Midlothian. We will have our "garden set" at Spoiled Rotten, complete with live bunnies, ducks and chicks for the kids.  This is our more traditional look, and the kids absolutely love it.  We have a stone wall, a set of stumps for the boys, and the animals are fun for everyone.

About the Photography

Our Seasonal sets are designed specifically for children.  The Enchanted Garden set has a depth and richness intended to imitate a spring day at the park.  The live ducklings, chicks and rabbits will bring a smile to everyone's face.  Best for ages 3 months to ten years.




March 27th Spring Colors Sessions

Our March 27th Spring Colors Sessions will be held here at the Ivey Studio in Downtown Midlothian. This set will be filled with TONS and TONS of Bright Spring colors and a giant display of flowers, courtesy of Ruibal's Nursery.  The preview photo is without the flowers, but we wanted to show the great colored backdrop we've constructed.  Bring the kids in white, or any other color.  The panels are green, blue, orange, yellow, pink and purple.  We can switch them around for girls and boys, where appropriate.

About the Photography

Our Spring Colors set is a new creation that will be filled with bright pastel colors and live/fresh cut flowers.  Perfect to show off your Easter dress or a new spring outfit.  Best for children of walking age and older.

Our Mini-Sessions are a perfect way to introduce your self to our studio.  If you've never been in, we invite you to join us for the first time.  If you are a regular, we look forward to seeing you again.  Either way, the packages and prints are affordable for any budget.  As always, our Watch Me Grow Members receive a free 8x10 print with their purchase.

Individual prints start at just $15.

Discounted packages start at $49.  Our opening package includes an 8x10, 2 5x7s and 8 Wallets  of your favorite pose.

We ask for a $40 minimum purchase.  $50 for groups of 3 or more please.

Skilor: 5 Weeks Newborn Baby Portraits

Skilor is 5 weeks old. Mom and Dad brought him in for his first ever portrait session. They are now in our Watch Me Grow Program, so we are excited to have Skilor on our team. He was outstanding for his first session. Check out the little smile on his face as he sleeps in our Love Sac. We prefer our newborns to come in at about 8 days old, but we understand that it is very hard to gather up and get out of the house. Either way, we give you plenty of time, and you have the whole studio to yourself when you are here. We make sure you and baby are warm, comfortable, and sleepy. :-)

Midlothian High School Senior Portraits: Hannah

Hannah is a Senior at Midlothian High School.  Since we got 13 inches of snow over the last 48 hours, she took advantage of a unique opportunity to have her photographs made in the great snow scene we call Midlothian.  We spent the afternoon in the studio and then headed out into the snow to play.  We are super excited about the senior season here at Ivey Photography.  We get great kids in with great attitudes and they are a joy to photograph.  We are happy to call Hannah one of our new clients.  Enjoy a few of her photos from today.

Midlothian Snow Day

One good thing about being a photographer is that when a photo opportunity presents itself, I have the best gear to make the photo look its best.  Here are a few images from my snow day at home with my kids.  The Barn at the bottom is one of my favorites to photograph.  I couldn't resist the snow scene.

Valentine's Day Mini-Session Event

We had a great time today at our Valentine's Day mini-sessions. Here are a couple of our favorite photos. Ms Chloe and Ms Allie were rock stars ! Midlothian High School Football Banquet

Saturday night, the Midlothian Football Boosters held the Annual Football Banquet at the Midlothian Civic Center.  Players, coaches and teams were recognized for their achievements over the past season.  We were on hand to photograph the awards and make portraits of the players, their families, and their dates.  We had a great time and we appreciate the Booster Club's recognition of our photography at the event.  If you would like to purchase photos from the event, click here.
